Is WWE Fastlane going to be a flop?

Not enough entertainment?

– WWE Fastlane has been a controversial Pay Per View since the last couple of years. After the fan backlash last year at the Royal Rumble, the WWE set up a match between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns for a shot at WrestleMania main event to give them hope about Bryan making it to the main event. This year the WWE avoided a backlash from the fans after Reigns dropped the title to Triple H.

The current Fastlane main event looks an exciting one with Reigns, Ambrose and Lesnar facing each other for a shot at the Wrestlemania 32 main event. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that there have been a lot of empty seats at the arena hosting Fastlane. It is speculated that the drop in ratings has finally caught up with the decreasing numbers.

The card features matches such as Owens v Ziggler, Del Rio v Kalisto, AJ Styles v Chris Jericho and a huge number one contender’s triple threat main event with Reigns, Ambrose and Lesnar.

This would be a worrying sign for the WWE since most of the PPVs are sold out in advance. It might be due to the placement of Fastlane between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania which makes fans consider it just a filler PPV.
