After 5 months on the sidelines, John Cena finally returns to Monday Night Raw

Out comes AJ Styles to interrupt him

But neither man is allowed to talk for a considerable period of time given how hot the crowd is for both of them

Finally AJ addresses John Cena

And professes his respect for him

Only to be rudely interrupted by Anderson and Gallows, who want to beat down on both of them

Just as John Cena gets ready to fight alongside AJ, he cheapshots him and lays him out

The numbers game is on full show

With AJ particularly feral in his attack

While Anderson and Gallows are only too willing to pile on the misery

As John Cena is mercilessly beaten down

Following which the Club poses in unison, signalling that it is as strong as its ever been

Just when you think the beatdown is over, AJ Styles rushes in for seconds

And brutally beats down a helpless John Cena

As referees swarm him and attempt to get him to stop

At which juncture, he finally relents and leaves with Anderson and Gallows
