While Hulkamania was running wild, there was always The Honky Tonk Man. In terms of musical acts, WWE Superstars like Elias, Jeff Jarret and others can thank Honky Tonk Man for laying the groundwork for their success.

It's interesting to note the Honky Tonk Man only won the WWE Intercontinental Championship once, it still was a memorable one. Moreover, he still has the record for the longest reign with the IC title for 454 days. He lost in even memorable fashion to The Ultimate Warrior in 31 seconds.
While Honky Tonk Man never enjoyed the same success he had in WWE in the 1980s, he returned to the WWE In 1997 in a managerial role as well as a commentator. Weirdly enough, he was also a catalyst for joining Bad Ass Billy Gunn and Road Dogg Jesse James as the New Age Outlaws.

My love of professional wrestling has been a journey. When I look back at my life, I realize that it's always been there in the background. While there were years where I stopped following it, I don't think I ever stopped loving it.
I have always been writing, and I have honed my skillset over the years, writing for various newspapers, publications, and other entertainment websites. Wrestling is just a happy accident and coincided with my falling back in love with the genre, with the rise of AEW.
Wrestling is physical storytelling and stories; they make us fly! I recount those stories through analytical features and news that come out of it.
