WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 is around the corner and one of the biggest matches on the card is the United States Championship encounter which sees champion AJ Styles defend his belt against Baron Corbin.

It will be interesting to see if The Lone Wolf can get his WWE career back on track, having lost his Money in the Bank opportunity as punishment for his bad behaviour. On the other hand, is the Phenomenal One due for a longer reign as US Champ or are bigger things in store for him?

With that in mind, we look towards the match this Sunday and see how things could go down. So, without any further ado, here is our list of five possible finishes to the WWE United States Championship match between AJ Styles and Baron Corbin at WWE Hell in a Cell 2017:

#5 Baron Corbin wins clean

Corbin's End of Days has put away a lot of WWE superstars
Corbin's End of Days has put away a lot of WWE superstars

This is the most unlikely outcome on the list and it's easy to see why. While Baron Corbin looked dominant prior to his punishment, he is the kind of guy who will always take a shortcut in order to get to the top. It's what defines his character as a heel.

It's especially difficult to imagine that he will be given the boost of a clean victory over AJ Styles of all people. Even if The Phenomenal Ones loses the belt, it will most likely be due to The Lone Wolf doing something underhanded.

#4 Baron Corbin gets disqualified

Is Corbin going to snap like Kevin Owens did?
Is Corbin going to snap like Kevin Owens did?

In recent weeks, it would be an understatement to say that Baron Corbin has been losing his cool. Ever since he failed to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on the go-home show of Smackdown Live before WWE Summerslam 2017, The Lone Wolf has been on the verge of snapping.

The WWE's creative team could make use of that angle to introduce us to a newer, meaner version of The Lone Wolf. Imagine, AJ Styles kicks out of The End of Days, Corbin loses his mind and gets disqualified for going over the edge.

#3 Tye Dillinger interferes

The strange thing about the United States Championship picture right now is that Tye Dillinger seems to be on the fringes of it for no apparent reason. However, that can be a reason that he is booked to interfere in the bout between AJ Styles and Baron Corbin.

We could see Dillinger cost The Lone Wolf the match, thus setting up a program between the two men in the weeks to come. Or, we could even see an unexpected heel turn from the Perfect 10 as he goes after The Phenomenal One instead. It will be interesting to see if Tye does have any involvement in this match on Sunday.

#2 AJ Styles wins clean

The major question right now is whether AJ Styles is booked for a prolonged run with the United States Championship or if he's going to drop the belt and then move on into the WWE Championship picture instead. If it is the former, then there's no way this match ends with anything other than a Styles win.

The Phenomenal One's post-Wrestlemania face turn also ensures that this will be a clean win as he gears up to bring the prestige back to the WWE United States Championship, much like John Cena did.

Well, that's positive only if he's booked to move on to bigger things.

#1 Baron Corbin wins dirty

We could very well see Baron Corbin pick up the win via dirty tactics in order to finally get a big win and get his career back on track. The United States Championship would be a great place for The Lone Wolf to kickstart his push to become a main event heel.

It will have to be a dirty win, though, as AJ Styles needs to be elevated into the WWE Championship picture if he's going to be dropping the title at WWE Hell in a Cell 2017.
