What. A. Show.
What. A. Show.

We just got done with WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 and what a show it turned out to be. It was a first-class pay per view punctuated by two superb Hell in a Cell matches - the opening bout between The Usos and The New Day and the main event between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon.

As we look forward to this week's episode of Smackdown Live, we take a look at which WWE superstars enjoyed the best time at WWE's latest pay per view. So, without any further ado, here are the biggest winners and losers from WWE Hell in a Cell 2017:

Loser #4: Charlotte Flair

This was supposed to be Charlotte Flair's crowning moment since her move to Smackdown Live during the Superstar Shakeup, and instead, we were treated to an anti-climactic end to her match against Natalya for the WWE Smackdown Live Women's Championship.

The WWE needs to do right by Charlotte and quick, if not, they will undo all the good work she's put in over the past couple of years.

Winner #4 - Baron Corbin

Corbin finally making the most of an opportunity
Corbin finally making the most of an opportunity

It looks Baron Corbin is finally out of the dog house. Despite the WWE United States Championship match being turned into a Triple Threat, Corbin came out victorious against Tye Dillinger and AJ Styles.

This victory over The Perfect 10 and more importantly, The Phenomenal One, could be exactly what's needed to push The Lone Wolf to the next level.

The possible reason behind AJ Styles' loss could be to free him up for the KO-Zayn-McMahon feud. Rumors suggest he will team up with Shane McMahon to take on the team of Zayn and Owens and Survivor Series.

Loser #3 - Rusev

Boy, this sure was a surprise result, huh?
Boy, this sure was a surprise result, huh?

What does poor Rusev need to do to get a win on pay per view? The Bulgarian Brute put on quite an impressive showing against Randy Orton but that counts for nothing if you aren't able to pick up the W.

Ru Ru falling to yet another RKO means he won't be moving up the card anytime soon.

Winner #3 - The Usos and The New Day

This match was oh so good
This match was oh so good

The Usos and The New Day put on one hell of a great match to kick off Hell in a Cell. The two teams tore the house down and thought BIg E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston lost the WWE Smackdown Live Tag Team Titles, they can hold their heads high after a superb match.

This win also emphasises just how good Jimmy and Jey Uso have been this year.

Loser #2 - Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE's creative team have successfully destroyed the aura of awesomeness that once surrounded Shinsuke Nakamura. Despite finally hitting the Kinshasa, he fell short against Jinder Mahal in his quest to win the WWE Championship.

The only way this can be salvaged is if you put Nakamura up against someone like AJ Styles and let their in-ring work do all the talking.

Winner #2 - Kevin Owens

What a great main event
What a great main event

Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon ensured their Falls Count Anywhere Hell in a Cell main event was the most talked about thing at the end of the night and a lot of that credit has to go to Owens.

He played the role of vile heel perfectly and his last-gasp victory coupled with a certain heel turn means he is a part of the most intriguing storyline on Smackdown Live today.

Loser #1 - Bobby Roode

If WWE management is indeed keen on having Bobby Roode as the next top star on Smackdown Live, they certainly didn't show it on his pay per view debut. The Glorious One laboured to a roll-up victory against Dolph Ziggler but couldn't even enjoy the moment as The Showoff took him out with a Zig Zag after the bell.

Roode looks like a shadow of the man he was in NXT.

Winner #1 - Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn's unexpected heel turn means he is now the most interesting thing on Smackdown Live. This could be exactly what is needed to revitalise his career and Sami is very much the biggest winner from Hell in a Cell 2017 despite not even having an actual match.
