R-Truth has been given much more time on TV over the past few weeks, but he was one of the most popular stars in the company a few years ago since he was part of a storyline where he would pop-up in matches he wasn't involved in and even entered The Royal Rumble with a ladder

Truth defeated The Miz two weeks ago on SmackDown Live and nothing has come of this victory yet, which is why it's completely feasible that Truth could show up mid-match and believe that he should be part of it since he doesn't actually have a match of his own at Hell in a Cell.
