Who is John Cena's inspiration?

The WWE’s golden boy

These are dark days for the WWE. Not only is the roster struggling with injury-riddled main-eventers, but a big name in Daniel Bryan was forced to retire and others like his wife, Brie Bella and former Intercontinental champion Wade Barrett have indicated that they will soon follow suit.

It is at times like this that not just the company, but the WWE Universe must be grateful for Superstars like John Cena. The 14-year veteran of the company is not just the biggest star of the WWE, ergo the pro wrestling industry, but also the most tireless workhorse.

No stranger to injury, the face of the WWE has proven his resilience time and again, returning ahead of schedule and diving right back into the thick of things. With WrestleMania looming and no worthy challenger for the Undertaker, Cena has hinted through tweets and such that he’s trying to fast-track his recovery. Or (and very likely), it could just be his mischievous proclivity to tease his fans via social media.

But Cena isn’t the only one convalescing from surgery for a serious injury. His better half, Nikki Bella, recently underwent spinal surgery and is also training for a return to the ring. John recently tweeted this:

Haters would call this a new low to Cena’s ‘softness’, but hey, how is this not an ‘awwww’ moment?
