Many feuds and storylines are happening en route to WWE Survivor Series, one of the final premium live events of the company this year. While many current top stars and champions are expected to appear, several legends may also make their presence known.
Several legends appeared at the recent Bad Blood event, including Booker T, Mickie James, Diamond Dallas Page, and Lilian Garcia. However, Goldberg's appearance stood out after jumping the barricade following Gunther's challenge. Rumors then suggested that the Hall of Famer was set to feud against the World Heavyweight Champion, possibly at WrestleMania 41 or Survivor Series. However, the WCW legend's return may not have a positive outcome.
If reports are true and Goldberg returns at the 2024 Survivor Series, it will mark his first match since the 2022 Elimination Chamber. While a clash at the event is possible, it's unlikely the WCW legend would defeat The Ring General for the World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE doesn't want these wrestlers back - Find out now!
The Ring General is one of the most impressive champions and superstars in WWE, and the company might have to think twice about dethroning him so quickly after an impressive and record-breaking reign as the Intercontinental Champion.
It's also no secret that the Hall of Famer expressed wanting to have a proper final match before officially retiring, and Gunther can be his perfect opponent. The Hall of Famer will somewhat pass the torch to The Ring General and losing to somebody like the RAW Superstar isn't something to be ashamed of.
What did Triple H say about a potential Goldberg return to WWE?
Since the WCW legend didn't have a proper final match in WWE, it's no wonder why many fans are hoping to see him return to the ring for one last time. Interestingly, Triple H has entertained the idea.
During the Bad Blood press conference, Triple H talked about Gunther and Goldberg's confrontation and noted that the latter had a spark on his face after his segment with The Ring General. The Game also stated "Never say never," about a potential return.
"When Bill came back, he was not too happy with Gunther. We will see. You know, the further you go, time catches up with all of us. So the further you go, those talks get further and further away from reality. But I don't know. I saw Bill earlier in the day. And it was great. I saw Bill later in the day, and there was a different look on his face with a spark in his eye. I would say never say never," he said.
It will be interesting to see if fans will see Goldberg in a WWE ring again soon.
