Backstage update on Brock Lesnar injuring Alberto Del Rio

Lesnar’s reckless in-ring style has affected Del Rio in a big way

– Alberto Del Rio made a comeback at the Hell in a Cell PPV, went on to beat John Cena and held the United States Championship until finally losing it to Kalisto at the Royal Rumble.

Del Rio has been with the League of Nations for a couple of months who have had severe beatdowns at the hands of Brock Lesnar. Alberto Del Rio entered the Royal Rumble and faced the same fate at the hands of the Beast.

Del Rio got injured and was out with a lower back injury after an interaction with Brock Lesnar.

It was reported that Del Rio might have received the injury after taking a vertical suplex from Lesnar during the Royal Rumble match or may have gotten injured at the hands of Lesnar after he received a German Suplex during the 18th January episode of RAW.

It is yet to be observed for how long Del Rio would be out, but it seems like he would be back for his rematch against Kalisto at Fastlane even though he would not be at his 100%.

With the WWE facing an ever-increasing injury list, they would hope that they do not have one of their top stars in Del Rio out for a significant amount of time.
