WWE Live Event: Providence results 26th November, 2016

The Roman Empire took over Providence, RI

RAW exclusive Live Event came to us from Providence, Rhode Island, this Saturday and was a part of the Holiday Tour of RAW. The show kicked off with a Fatal Four Way, for the RAW Tag Team titles and the main event was a Champion vs. Champion bout between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens.

The event also featured five other bouts and was fairly successful, omitting a few glitches here and there.

It was also reported by third party source, topropepress.com, that the feud between The Top Dog and The Universal Champion, which is to culminate on RoadBlock come December 18th, will continue to headline all the RAW House Shows up till the flagship show’s last PPV of the year.

So let us find out how the event unfolded;

#1 RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day defeated Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, Cesaro & Sheamus, Enzo Amore & Big Cass. (Fatal Four Way for the RAW Tag Team Titles)

An excellent way to kickstart the party in Rhode Island. Overall a fun match, with some hilarious moments, albeit nothing really stood out. Enzo & Cass got big pops, as they stepped into the ring after their trademark promo.

Cesaro section was also in its full swing, while the ‘Power of Positivity’ looked dull, at its best. The New Day won in a cynical fashion, as they continue their fairytale run as the Tag Champions.

#2 Sin Cara defeated Curtis Axel (Singles Match)

A filler match which did not do anything for either of the two Superstars, except establishing Curtis Axel as the WWE’s Ultimate Jobber. A title, which the son of late Mr Perfect should look to relinquish as soon as possible.

#3 Goldust, R-Truth and Darren Young (with Bob Backlund) defeated Titus O'Neil and The Shining Stars

While WWE has distanced itself from the idea of making Darren Young great again, they continue to associate him with Bob Buckland. GoldenTruth were the highlight of the match, which itself is a testament to the monotonous nature of the match.

#4 Seth Rollins defeated Rusev (Singles Match)

Most probably the highlight of the entire show. A fun match that had the fans on their heels. The Architect won with a Pedigree, but the Bulgarian Brute was in it, till the very end. Lana was smoking hot, just saying.

Intermission, Rob Van Dam’s music hits the arena!!

#5 Sasha Banks, Bayley and Alicia Fox defeated RAW Women's Champion Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke and Nia Jax (Triple Threat Tag Match)

Great match! Strong reactions for Sasha, Bayley and Charlotte. Emma was the special referee and looked stunning. Alica Fox was quite anonymous. In the end, The Boss, Sasha Banks made Dana tap out, for the win, with a Bank Statement.

#6 Neville defeated Bo Dallas (Singles match)

In defiance of the fact that both men lack charisma and personality, it was a pretty decent match. Neville won in a convincing fashion, while Bo delivered a forgettable promo, prior to the match.

#7 WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns retained over WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens (Champion vs. Champion match)

A perfect way to end the show; a good match with fine storytelling. The Top Dog won with a Superman Punch followed by a Spear, as he continues to receive strong reaction from the WWE Universe.
