WWE Live event results from Copenhagen

WWE Live returned for with a SmackDown Live house show on the 14th of May in Copenhagen. This was the last stop of the European tour for the blue brand. The show featured the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton and The Usos.

The event saw three title defences from Orton, Kevin Owens and The Usos. The opening event saw the artist known as Shinsuke Nakamura face off against Dolph Ziggler and the main event was a triple threat WWE title match between Randy Orton, AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal.

The other matchups included Tye Dillinger and Breezango going up against Aiden English and The Ascension. The US title was on the line, as Kevin Owens prepared to face former best friend Sami Zayn and the SmackDown Live Women’s Division had six-woman tag team match. All said and done, it was entertaining night in Copenhagen, Denmark.


#1 Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler

The highly awaited matchup between the ‘King Of Strong Style’ and the ‘Show-off’ scheduled for Backlash came early for the fans at Copenhagen as the two men opened things up at the event. There were a few glimpses of what is to come and the two put on a great show. Shinsuke Nakamura came out on top in this one.

Results: Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dolph Ziggler.


#2 Tye Dillinger and Breezango vs. Aiden English and The Ascension

#1 Contenders for the SmackDown tag team titles Breezango teamed up with Dillinger to face off against Aiden English and The Ascension. The match wasn't filled with any great highlights, but watching Breezango and the 'Perfect 10' in action is always amazing. The result ended with Tye Dillinger and Breezango defeating English and The Ascension.

Results: Tye Dillinger and Breezango defeated Aiden English and The Ascension.


#3 Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan

The two former brothers from the Wyatt Family continued their rivalry in Copenhagen. It was a hard-hitting match and both men gave it all they had. Luke Harper came out on top during this match, despite being as battered as Rowan was.

Results: Luke Harper defeated Erick Rowan.


#4 Naomi, Becky Lynch and Charlotte vs. Natalya, Carmella and Tamina Snuka in a six-woman tag team match

This match saw some huge pop from the crowd, as it featured the entire SmackDown Women Division. Naomi, Becky Lynch and Charlotte were the fan favourites and they came out on top against the ‘Welcoming Committee’. It was a hard-fought match between the two teams.

Results: Naomi, Becky Lynch and Charlotte defeated the Welcoming Committee.


#5 Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Kevin Owens showed why he was the ‘True Face of America’ as he defeated Sami Zayn to retain his US Title. However, the highlight of the match was when Kevin Owens started his promo only to receive a Helluva Kick from Zayn.

Results: Kevin Owens retained over Sami Zayn.


#6 Baron Corbin vs. Mojo Rawley

Mojo Rawley may have won this year's edition of the Andre the Giant Memorial match, but he was no match for the ‘Lone Wolf’ Baron Corbin. It was a completely one-sided match between the two with Rawley receiving a crushing defeat at the hands of Corbin, quite literally.

Results: Baron Corbin defeated Mojo Rawley.


#7 The Usos, American Alpha and The Colons in a triple threat tag team match

This match was extremely entertaining as it featured the high-flying Usos, the former champs American Alpha and the newbies the Colons. The Usos were thrilling to watch and the match ended in their favour as they retained the SmackDown Live tag team titles.

Results: The Usos retained over American Alpha and The Colons.


#8 Randy Orton, AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal in triple threat match

Randy Orton attempted to defend his title against two #1 Contenders. #1 Contender for the US Title AJ Styles and #1 Contender for Orton’s WWE Title Jinder Mahal. The main event matchup had some brilliant highlights like a double DDT to the Singh Brothers and of course an RKO out of nowhere to Jinder Mahal.

The Viper struck once again as he retained the title.

Results: Randy Orton retained over AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal.
