The WWE’s SmackDown brand put forth a live event in Sacramento, California—headlined by a WWE Championship Match.

The event also saw the SmackDown Women’s Championship being defended in, what’s being praised by fans as a fast-paced all-action match, with considerable comedy thrown in for good measure.

Several other matches also transpired at the event—the complete results of which have been noted as follows—


#1 Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Baron Corbin

Bobby Roode put his WWE United States Championship on the line against Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin in a Triple Threat Match.

While Mahal and Corbin started off strong and incapacitated Roode in the early going, the former duo eventually started brawling with one another. Roode came about and countered the Maharajah’s Khallas attempt; hitting Mahal with a Glorious DDT and successfully defending his title by way of pinfall.

Result: Bobby Roode def. Jinder Mahal, and Baron Corbin


#2 Mojo Rawley vs. Tye Dillinger

The fans in attendance at the event broke into a chorus of ‘10’ chants; much to the chagrin of Tye Dillinger.

In fact, a few fans at ringside chimed in with unique chants, ranging from other numbers between 1 and 10—briefly amusing Dillinger to the extent that he broke character and smiled at them. Regardless, of the mixed reactions garnered by Dillinger at the event, it was Mojo Rawley who dominated the matchup and picked up the victory in the end.

#3 The New Day vs. Mike Kanellis & Primo

The New Day had Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods compete in this matchup against Mike Kanellis & Primo.

With Big E cheering his stable-mates on, The New Day dominated their foes; beating them from pillar to post. Amidst raucous cheers from the fans in attendance, The New Day picked up the victory over Kanellis & Primo.

The trio then proceeded to celebrate ringside; interacting with several fans.

#4 Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Natalya vs. Carmella vs. Lana

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair put her title on the line against 4 other competitors in a Fatal 5-Way Match.

Each and every one of the Superstars in this matchup received a highly positive response from the fans—with Flair receiving the loudest pop of them all. Furthermore, ‘Rusev Day’ chants sounded all through the arena during Lana’s entrance.

Additionally, Carmella & Lana engaged in a comedic segment during the match; getting into a screaming match and tussle with one another over who gets to pin Flair. Taking advantage of the same, Flair regained her footing and ended the matchup with the Figure-8.

#5 The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Breezango

The Bludgeon Brothers came out to a few boos, while on the contrary, Fandango & Tyler Breeze received a highly positive response from the fans.

The Bludgeon Brothers put a prolonged beat-down on Fandango over the course of the matchup, as Breeze played a minimal role in the entire showdown. In the end, Fandango was finished and pinned; resulting in another dominant win for the Bludgeon Brothers.

#6 Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler

Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler competed in a highly-competitive, back and forth matchup. Apparently, there was also a Ziggler doppelganger at the event.

Ziggler mocked Nakamura throughout and taunted the latter’s to his face multiple times throughout the matchup. In fact, Ziggler dominated the first half of the bout; much to the chagrin of the fans.

However, in the end, Nakamura nailed Ziggler with a Kinshasa, for the pinfall victory.

#7 AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

AJ Styles put his WWE Championship on the line against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Triple Threat Match.

Styles was the recipient of a rough start, as Owens and Zayn attacked the WWE Champion to the point where he appeared to be out of the match. Nevertheless, Zayn and Owens then turned their attention to one another, besides also engaging in banter with the fans ringside.

Styles regained momentum late in the matchup and caught Zayn with a Phenomenal Forearm for the pinfall victory. Following the match, Owens challenged Styles to a 1-on-1 match for the title; in response to which the latter accepted and offered to shake KO’s hand.

While KO tagged Styles with a strike, the WWE Champion caught him with a Styles Clash and closed out the night in style.

Result: AJ Styles def. Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn
