Shinsuke Nakamura main-evented on the evening in front of the Argentina crowd

The WWE Smackdown Live roster made a stop in Argentina this week, as WWE held a live event in South America after a long time.

The card featured many top Superstars from the blue brand, including the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Charlotte Flair and more.

Former United States Champion AJ Styles was also scheduled to appear on the night but missed the show due to a last minute illness. However, that did not stop WWE from putting up a great show for the Buenos Aires crowd.

#1 The Usos vs The New Day (Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships)

The Usos and The New Day seemed to have earned each other’s respect after putting on a gruelling tag team match earlier this month at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

And the two teams went at it once again, as they put up another solid performance in front of the Buenos Aires crowd.

The Usos and New Day once again proved why they have such amazing in-ring chemistry with each other as the two teams put up a great bout on the evening.

Jey and Jimmy managed to retain the titles on the night and will now turn their focus to the team of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable whom they will face next.

Result: The Usos def. The New Day

#2 Bobby Roode vs Aiden English

This was the first time Roode made his Argentina debut with the main roster and “The Glorious One” received a huge pop from the crowd. It was clear that the former NXT Champion was a crowd favourite walking into this match.

Roode managed to pick up the win on the night, after managing to hit the Glorious DDT on English in a match which was decent enough. But, nonetheless, Roode received great crowd reactions even after winning the match.

Result: Bobby Roode def. Aiden English

#3 Sami Zayn vs Sin Cara

Sami Zayn, who recently turned heel, received a host of mixed reactions from the Buenos Aires crowd. Zayn went one-on-one with the masked luchador Sin Cara, who himself got great crowd reactions on the evening.

However, it was the former NXT Champion who received the last laugh after he defeated Sin Cara following the Helluva Kick.

Result: Sami Zayn def. Sin Cara

#4 Randy Orton vs Rusev

Both Orton and Rusev faced each other on numerous occasions during the past few months, but that did not stop them from putting up another solid match this time in front of the Argentine crowd.

“The Viper” managed to get the win after hitting a beautiful RKO on Rusev and thus once again ruined “Rusev Day” for the South American fans.

Result: Randy Orton def. Rusev

#5 Naomi, Becky Lynch, Charlotte vs Natalya, Tamina, Carmella

Charlotte Flair is currently in an on-going feud with Smackdown Live Women’s Champion Natalya and in recent months she has been teaming up with Naomi and Becky Lynch in order to face the heel team on Smackdown consisting of Nattie, Tamina, and Carmella.

Argentina was no different, as the babyface team once again teamed up together to face the heel team.

Charlotte and Becky got great reactions from the crowd on the night and the two ladies, alongside Naomi, were also on the winning side as they managed to pick up the win following a solid contest between both the teams.

Result: Naomi, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair def. Tamina, Natalya, Carmella

#6 Baron Corbin vs Kevin Owens vs Tye Dillinger (United States Championship)

Baron Corbin who recently won the United States Championship at Hell in a Cell, made his second title defence when he faced Kevin Owens and Tye Dillinger in Argentina.

The triple threat match was one of the best matches of the night and much like this past Tuesday, Corbin once again managed to walk out with the title as he defeated both “The Perfect 10” and “The Prizefighter”.

Result: Baron Corbin def. Kevin Owens and Tye Dillinger

#7 Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship)

After failing to capture the WWE title twice in recent months, Nakamura once again faced off against Jinder Mahal in order to try and win the WWE Title.

The former NXT Champion probably got the best crowd reaction on the night, but that did not help him win the match as Nakamura once again failed to beat “The Modern Day Maharaja” and could not win the WWE Title in the process.

Result: Jinder Mahal def. Shinsuke Nakamura
