WWE Live Results: Buenos Aires, Argentina (October 20, 2017)

AJ Styles and The New Day
AJ Styles returned to the ring on the second night and teamed up with the New Day

Following a successful first night in Argentina, the WWE Smackdown Live roster was once again ready to perform live in front of the Buenos Aires crowd on the second night.

The match card was once again pretty solid, much like the first night and had featured the likes of Baron Corbin, Jinder Mahal, and a returning AJ Styles—who missed night one due to illness.

#1 Becky Lynch & Naomi vs Carmella & Tamina

After facing off against each other on the first night—in a six women tag team match, Becky and Naomi once again teamed up on the night as they faced Carmella and Tamina.

Much like the first night in Buenos Aires, the ladies put up a solid tag team match as the team of Becky Lynch and Naomi picked up the win.

Result: Becky Lynch and Naomi def. Carmella and Tamina

#2 Tye Dillinger vs Aiden English

Tye Dillinger made his Argentina debut on night one when he faced Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin in a triple threat match for the US Title. “The Perfect 10” might have failed to capture the US Championship but sure did have a lot of fun.

However, on the second night, Dillinger managed to get a victory when he defeated Aiden English via the Tye Breaker, in a match which was decent enough.

Result: Tye Dillinger def. Aiden English

#3 Natalya vs Charlotte Flair (Smackdown Live Women’s Championship)

Charlotte Flair and Natalya continued their on-going feud in South America as well, when Charlotte was once again given the opportunity to dethrone Natalya as the SD Live Women’s Champion.

Both Nattie and Charlotte wrestled each other in a match that ended in a disqualification earlier this month at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Natalya once again managed to walk out with the Smackdown Women’s Title when she defeated Charlotte on the night.

Result: Natalya def. Charlotte Flair

#4 AJ Styles & The New Day vs Rusev & The Usos

After missing night one of the South America tour, AJ Styles returned to action and graced the ring before the Buenos Aires crowd when he teamed up with the New Day. On the other hand, fans witnessed Smackdown Tag Team Champions, The Usos team up with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev.

This match was probably the best match of the night; we had two of the best tag teams in the company, alongside two of the best athletic superstars in WWE. Both these teams absolutely stole the show and it was AJ Styles and the New Day who walked out victorious on the night.

Result: AJ Styles and New Day def. Rusev and The Usos

#5 Bobby Roode vs Sami Zayn

Both Roode and Zayn were victorious on night one and went toe-to-toe with each other on the second night. A match between two former NXT Champions, it is as good as it gets.

Roode and Zayn managed to put up a great singles bout as “The Glorious One” managed to pull off another victory in Argentina by defeating Sami Zayn.

Result: Bobby Roode def. Sami Zayn

#6 Baron Corbin vs Shinsuke Nakamura (United States Championship)

After failing to capture the WWE Title on night one from Jinder Mahal, Nakamura got the chance to win the US Title when he faced off against Baron Corbin.

However “The King of Strong Style” failed to dethrone “The Lone Wolf” as Corbin managed to defeat Nakamura and successfully retain his US Title.

Result: Baron Corbin def. Shinsuke Nakamura

#7 Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton (WWE Championship)

Jinder Mahal has already defeated Randy Orton on numerous occasions over the past few months and the two were once again at it when Orton got another chance to win the WWE Title in Argentina.

“The Viper” put up a great show for the Buenos Aires crowd, but was not able to end “The Maharaja’s” reign, as Jinder managed to retain the WWE Title once again.

Result: Jinder Mahal def. Randy Orton
