WWE Live results - Omaha, Nebraska (February 4, 2018)

Seth Rollins and
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were in the main event this Sunday in Omaha, Nebraska...

The Monday Night Raw roster continued their tour of the Midwest on Sunday afternoon when they headed to Omaha, Nebraska for a WWE Live event. Due to the Super Bowl, this was an early afternoon show that started at 1 p.m. local time and would wrap up around 3 p.m. to give the WWE Universe and wrestlers who wanted to watch the Super Bowl plenty of time to get to where they were going to watch it.

On Saturday evening, the Raw roster was just down Interstate 80 for an event in Lincoln, Nebraska; which I was able to attend. You can read my thoughts on Saturday's show at this link.

The Raw roster is starting to prepare for Elimination Chamber; which will take place from Paradise, Nevada (just outside of Las Vegas) on February 25th. The men's Chamber match will determine the #1 contender for Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania, and for the first-time, the women will have a Chamber match where Alexa Bliss will have to defend her WWE Raw Women's Championship.

Overall the Omaha card was fairly similar to the one in Lincoln, but there were a few differences. There were eight matches on the card, with no championships being defended. Continue on to see the results of the opening bout.

Match #1 - Finn Balor v. Bo Dallas

Omaha was welcomed to Balor Club to start off this WWE Live event when Finn Balor made his entrance to kick off the afternoon. He would be followed by Miztourage member Bo Dallas.

Balor is coming off of a great appearance at the Royal Rumble where he was the ironman lasting nearly an hour in his first-ever appearance in the match. He would last until the final four before John Cena tossed him out. His bad luck against Cena continued on Monday Night Raw last week when Balor lost to Cena in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

Balor was able to get back on track Sunday in Omaha though with an easy win against Dallas.

Result - Finn Balor d. Bo Dallas

Match #2 - Jack Gallagher v. Cedric Alexander

The WWE Universe was treated to a Cruiserweight Division match on the second contest of the night when Cedric Alexander took on "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher.

Alexander was in the thick of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship chase, but could never get a clean win over Enzo Amore. Now that Amore has been released from the company, there is a 16-man tournament in progress to determine the next champion.

Alexander was able to defeat Gran Metalik last week on Monday Night Raw to move to the round of eight, and he continued the momentum on Sunday in Omaha.

Result - Cedric Alexander d. Jack Gallagher

Match #3 - Curt Hawkins v. Goldust

Match #4 - Curt Hawkins v. Braun Strowman

The (not so) impressive losing streak of Curt Hawkins is fast approaching 200 straight losses. The previous night in Lincoln, Nebraska the streak reached 168 when he lost to Goldust. Sunday in Omaha, Hawkins would try to end the streak, but once again was on the losing end of things to move the streak to 169.

Result - Goldust d. Curt Hawkins

Hawkins wanted another match as he was confident he could end the streak in Nebraska. Unfortunately, it was Braun Strowman who answered the challenge, and you all can guess where it went from there. The streak is now at 170.

Result - Braun Strowman d. Curt Hawkins

Match #5 - Titus WorldWide v. The Revival

Titus WorldWide has been on quite the roll ever since they added Dana Brooke to the team. They have a couple of wins against the current WWE Tag Team Champions, The Bar; however, they were unable to capture the tag titles against them last week on Raw.

The Revival is finally healthy and have their sights set on those same tag titles in 2018. Their year got off to a rough start when they decided to get in the faces of Degeneration X, The Kliq, and Balor Club at Raw 25, but since that moment they have been on the winning track.

Those winning ways for The Revival would continue in Omaha as the Top Guys left Nebraska with another win.

Result - The Revival d. Titus WorldWide

Match #6 - Matt Hardy v. Bray Wyatt

One of the most intriguing feuds in the WWE continued in Omaha Sunday when WOKEN Matt Hardy took on Bray Wyatt.

A loss to Wyatt on Monday Night Raw a couple of months ago put Hardy into a WOKEN state, and there are rumors that his loss to Wyatt at Raw 25 may change that WOKEN state to a BROKEN one.

Also, it is only a matter of time before Jeff Hardy is healthy enough to compete in a WWE ring again, and word is that Brother Nero will be joining Matt in the Great War.

On Sunday, the Woken Warriors were treated to a victory as Matt rendered Bray OBSOLETE!

Result - Matt Hardy d. Bray Wyatt

Match #7 - Asuka & Bayley v. Nia Jax & Alexa Bliss

The WWE Universe in Omaha was treated to a women's tag match in the second-to-last contest of the afternoon when the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble winner Asuka teamed up with Bayley to take on the BFF's of Nia Jax and the WWE Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss.

As if the news of Asuka winning the Royal Rumble wasn't bad enough for Bliss, she learned last week that she will have to defend her title inside the Elimination Chamber on February 25th against five other women. Those women haven't been determined yet, but her tag partner Nia could be one of them.

Nia and Alexa were definitely not ready for Asuka and Bayley as the bad news continues for Little Miss Bliss.

Result - Bayley & Asuka d. Nia Jax & Alexa Bliss

Match #8 - Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns v. Elias & The Bar in a handicap match

It is main event time in Omaha, Nebraska! Two-thirds of The Shield, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins took on Elias and The Bar in a 2-on-3 handicap match.

I would assume things were done relatively the same as they were in Lincoln the night before where Elias started it off with a concert trashing my city and state and then The Bar would join him for an Irish drinking tune.

Elias has already punched his ticket to the Elimination Chamber, and Roman Reigns gets a chance to on this week's edition of Monday Night Raw.

With Jason Jordan injured, it is unknown if Seth will get to find another partner to exercise a rematch clause against The Bar, or if that is going to be forfeited. Those pictures should clear up in the next couple editions of Raw.

In the main event, Rollins and Reigns were able to overcome the numbers game and walk out of Omaha victorious.

Result - Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins d. Elias & The Bar
