AJ Styles faced off against Shinsuke Nakamura and Jinder Mahal on the night

The WWE Live European tour continued last night when the Smackdown Live crew landed in Padova, Italy. The show’s main card featured some of Smackdown’s top superstars such as the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Becky Lynch, Bobby Roode, and new WWE Champion AJ Styles. The WWE Universe in Padova also got to witness three title matches on the night.

#1 Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler

“The Glorious One” and “The Showoff” have been competing in a very lengthy feud over the past few months. The two men have faced each other in almost every house show in this European tour and Padova was no different, as both Roode and Ziggler squared off once again.

As usual, the two men put up a solid match in which Roode came out on top and defeated Dolph Ziggler on the night.

Result: Bobby Roode def. Dolph Ziggler

#2 The Ascension and Tye Dillinger vs Mike Kanellis and The Bludgeon Brothers

Smackdown’s newest tag team of Harper and Rowan—known as the Bludgeon Brothers, teamed up with “The Miracle” on the night to take on the babyface team of Ascension and “The Perfect 10”. This seemed to be the first appearance Mike Kanellis made for WWE in over a month.

Six man tag team matches are usually great and this one was no different either, as the team of Viktor, Konnor, and Dillinger reigned victorious over the heel team of Mike Kanellis and co.

Result: The Ascension and Tye Dillinger def. Mike Kanellis and The Bludgeon Brothers

#3 Baron Corbin vs Sin Cara- (WWE United States Championship)

Sin Cara and Baron Corbin have recently ignited a new feud over on Smackdown Live. The two men have faced each other on three different occasions on TV, out of which the masked luchador has defeated “The Lone Wolf” twice in two consecutive weeks.

Last night in Padova, Sin Cara and Corbin went toe-to-toe once again, this time with the US Championship on the line, however, Corbin was resilient enough to defeat Sin Cara this time and retained his championship.

Result: Baron Corbin def. Sin Cara

#4 Randy Orton vs Rusev

Much like Roode and Ziggler, Rusev and Randy Orton have also been feuding on Smackdown Live for a long time now, but, their rivalry initially began way back in Summerslam and last night in Padova the two men once again battled in an intense match.

“The Bulgarian Brute” put up a valiant effort in order to try and beat Orton, but in the end, it was one RKO that got the job done for “The Viper” as he got the victory.

Result: Randy Orton def. Rusev

#5 Naomi, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte vs Natalya, Carmella, Tamina, and Lana

Last night in Padova, the babyface team of Becky, Naomi, and Charlotte teamed up to take on the team of Smackdown Women’s Champion Natalya who teamed up on the night, with her fellow heels on the SD Live women’s division.

Once again, despite having the upper hand in terms of numbers Carmella and co. couldn’t take the advantage, as they suffered the loss in Italy as the face team went over the heels in a solid contest. After the match, James Ellsworth underwent another beatdown by the women's roster. However, the SD Live Women’s division will now turn their attention towards their Survivor Series match against Team Raw.

Result: Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Charlotte def. Natalya, Carmella, Tamina, and Lana

#6 The Usos vs Breezango vs The Hype Bros vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable (WWE Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship)

The Usos had to defend their title in a four-way match last night and remained completely focused on the match, despite having a change of opponent weeks before the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

However, in Padova last night, Jimmy and Jey managed to beat three of the top teams in SD Live tag team division and got a major confidence booster ahead of their match against The Bar, which takes place on November 19th.

Result: The Usos def. Breezango, The Hype Bros, and Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin

#7 AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Jinder Mahal- (WWE Championship Match)

Since winning the WWE Title last Tuesday in Manchester, AJ Styles has already defended the belt in a few marquee matches on this European tour and last night was no different when he shared the ring with “The Artist” and the former champion Jinder Mahal, who was looking for retribution.

The triple threat match was great and possibly the best match on the night; both Styles and Nakamura had some great sequences and also have great chemistry with each other inside the ring. However, it was AJ Styles who managed to retain his WWE Title after pinning the “The Maharaja” Jinder Mahal on the night.

Result: AJ Styles def. Shinsuke Nakamura and Jinder Mahal
