WWE megastar should return to RAW's Netflix debut and confront The Rock

WWE is set to make history as the company's flagship show, Monday Night RAW, heads to Netflix at the start of 2025. The premiere episode is certainly shaping up to be one of the most anticipated shows of the year.

The Rock is likely to be one of the big names fans are expecting to feature on this historic show. However, WWE may have another surprise up their sleeve. Stone Cold Steve Austin, one of The Rock's biggest rivals from the Attitude Era, could make a surprise appearance to confront him.

This confrontation could lead to Austin getting involved in a major storyline in the lead-up to WrestleMania 41.

Stone Cold Steve Austin was originally planned to play a role at WrestleMania XL

In the build-up to the main event match at WrestleMania XL between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, some fans expected Stone Cold Steve Austin to make an appearance if The Rock attempted to interfere. However, it was The Undertaker who saved the day, coming out to hit The Final Boss with a Chokeslam which received one of the loudest pops of the entire night.

It turns out there were indeed discussions between WWE and The Texas Rattlesnake about making an appearance at WrestleMania XL. In a recent interview, Austin revealed that he had prior commitments with his wife and, therefore, was unable to make it happen.

According to WrestleVotes, the first episode of Monday Night RAW on Netflix is scheduled for January 6, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.

Additionally, the final episode of RAW on the USA Network will be taking place on December 30, 2024, in Houston, Texas.

WWE legend John Cena will be expected to make an appearance

John Cena is set to return for one last run before he retires from professional wrestling in 2025. The debut episode of Monday Night RAW on Netflix could be the perfect stage for The Chain Gang Soldier to make his comeback.

Cena has already mentioned in interviews that he will be there, and it will be intriguing to see what role he plays. There is even a possibility that he could announce his entry into the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match during the show.
