WWE Monday Night Raw Preview : 27 June, 2016

One down, two to go

Monday is almost here and all of the wrestling fans out there will be excited about the prospect of the latest Monday Night Raw episode. Last week, WWE delivered an impressive show that laid the foundations for a handful of feuds. But the most shocking news that came out last week from the wrestling business was the suspension of Roman Reigns.

Reigns, who was on his way to the top of the business, is now facing uncertainty about his short term career. Also, there were huge developments in the divas division where WWE showed the rise of Sasha Banks. Here are some of the things that we could expect this week on Monday Night Raw.

The future of Roman Reigns

What does WWE have in store for Reigns?

The suspension of Roman Reigns rocked the entire wrestling business. He was the last person that we expected to violate the Wellness policy and now that he has done the same, Reigns will be serving a one month suspension. From what we know, Reigns is unlikely to miss the Shield Triple threat match at the Battleground as his suspension will be wrapped up by that time.

However, one question still remains: how will WWE write Roman Reigns off television. Of course, they cannot simply say that he is suspended, or can they? WWE is in a sticky situation and they will have to come out cleanly from the pit and make Reigns look strong (pun intended) at the same time.

Any more returns?

We’d love to see him

The most exciting part about the episodes of Monday Night Raw in the recent weeks is perhaps the returning General Managers. Teddy Long made his return a couple of weeks back and last week, John Laurinaitis came back. There could be someone in store for this week as well and it is sure to be an entertaining affair altogether. The possible names are many.

Vickie Guerrero is a great candidate as she is still in good terms with WWE. WWE recently released a book of Eric Bischoff which means that he is also a possibility. No matter who comes around, it will be a nostalgic moment for the fans.

Stable Wars

Bray needs a singles feud

The return of Wyatt family was one of the biggest talking points from the last episode of Monday Night Raw. Wyatt Family came back strongly and made a statement by going after the New Day. A full-blown feud between Wyatt Family and the New Day has plenty of possibilities. Also, if Bray wants his followers to get a tag team championship, it would be more interesting.

The question that everyone has on their mind will be about Bray himself. Though the feud is great, Bray is a singles wrestler on paper. He needs a singles feud soon and cannot be limited to the tag team championship if that is indeed WWE’s plan.

Sasha is back in the picture

Title bound

Sasha Banks had been missing from the title picture for quite some time now. However, she made a triumphant return to the scene last week. Sasha announced that she wants the Women’s Championship and did get a huge reaction from the crowd. As everyone has been waiting for this moment, the chances of WWE screwing up the same are likely nil.

Charlotte has been holding the Women’s Championship for a long time now and there wouldn’t be a better superstar to take the title away from her than Sasha. Sasha could go to achieve a cult following during the feud and she deserves it big time.

Two left to build the story

Interesting scenario

With Roman Reigns out of action for nearly a month, WWE will be left with the task of building up the Shield Triple Threat with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. We all know how good Ambrose and Rollins is at building up a story, but the problem here is their alignment. Ambrose started showing shades of being a heel last week when Seth Rollins is still a heel on paper.

Reigns was the only babyface on paper in this feud, and now that he is gone, WWE will be left with a decision to cast either Rollins or Ambrose as a full-blown babyface. It’s a big choice to be made and a mistake from WWE’s side could screw up the dream match especially with Reigns missing out.
