One week removed from WWE SummerSlam and one week closer to No Mercy, the WWE machine whirrs on, and brings with it a host of intriguing match-ups and must-watch storylines.

How can it not be when Braun Strowman gears up to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at the pay-per-view?

After laying the "Beast Incarnate" to waste last week, how will Strowman continue to build his momentum as he inches towards his first singles title shot?

Unlike Brock Lesnar, however, whose title is in serious jeopardy, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins sit pretty atop the Tag Team division.

Will disgraced ex-champions Sheamus and Cesaro show up as the next challengers? Or is there another tag team duo waiting to pounce on the opportunity?

And what is to be of the WWE RAW Women's Title when former champion Alexa Bliss challenges Sasha Banks in a SummerSlam rematch?

Combing through all these questions and more, here is our preview of this week's episode of Monday Night RAW.

#1 An epic encounter in the making

How long before this 'team' combusts?
How long before this 'team' combusts?

Although John Cena and Roman Reigns briefly aligned their interests in taking out The Miz and Samoa Joe last week, Cena made no bones about the fact that he's only on the Red brand to duel with "The Big Dog".

That being said, Roman Reigns isn't one to back down from a challenge either.

Will we finally see present and future collide in what promises to be a rollicking feud? Or will the likes of Samoa Joe and The Miz get involved two weeks on the trot, forcing Cena and Reigns to join forces yet again?

Either way, a promising match beckons at No Mercy.

#2 Talk isn't cheap

Enzo Amore provides a unique threat to Neville's throne
Enzo Amore provides a unique threat to Neville's throne

After gleaning a measure of retribution against his former Tag Team partner, Enzo Amore took his loud-mouthed talents to 205 Live last week, when he interrupted the Cruiserweight Champion, Neville.

How will the interaction between the duo play out on RAW this week?

Is Enzo Amore the man to finally pry open Neville's vice grip on the Cruiserweight crown?

Or like numerous Superstars before him, will he too fall by the wayside when he comes up against the King?

One thing is for sure though, Neville won't ever have found an opponent who can attack him verbally like Enzo Amore can.

Will that eventually prove to be the difference? Only time will tell.

#3 Boss vs Goddess - Part 2

Will Sasha retain her Raw Women's Championship in a SummerSlam rematch?
Will Sasha retain her Raw Women's Championship in a SummerSlam rematch?

After tapping out to Sasha Banks and losing her WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam, Alexa Bliss has revenge on her mind as she exercises her rematch clause on this week's episode of Raw.

Will the Goddess be able to avert the same fate that met her last week when she lost the belt? Or will Sasha Banks pile on the misery by handing out another loss and further cement her standing as the four-time Raw Women's Champion?

Or, like the conniving competitor that she is, will Alexa Bliss solicit the aid of her BFF, Nia Jax, in helping her regain the Championship that she lost.

#4 Brothers standing together

Team work, at its best
Team work, at its best

Seth Rollins professed that if Dean Ambrose and him get on the same page, no other team on the Raw roster can even hold a candle to them.

And true enough, they've since seen off the challenge of the legendary Hardy Boyz after winning the Raw Tag Team titles against Sheamus and Cesaro at SummerSlam.

Who will pop up next to challenge two-thirds of the powerhouse faction formerly known as the Shield?

Or will the Bar make a beeline for them again, given that they have a rematch clause that they can choose to evoke should they see fit.

It promises to be an exciting time for the Raw Tag Team division.

#5 A taste of his own medicine

For the first time, the tables have turned on Brock Lesnar
For the first time, the tables have turned on Brock Lesnar

After the beating he put on Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, powerslamming him through two announcers' table and capsizing a third one on him, there was no way that the next Universal Title shot was going to anyone but Braun Strowman.

If that was in any doubt, his vicious attack on the champion on last week's episode of Raw would have surely dispelled it.

Braun Strowman is a scary, scary man. And he's headed for an almighty collision with "The Beast" at No Mercy.

Unlike many of his previous opponents, Brock Lesnar is up against a man who is physically capable of dishing out some of his own medicine to him.

Is this the beginning of the end of the Beast's reign?

Or will Brock Lesnar, as always, come out swinging and somehow manage to retain his WWE Universal title against Braun Strowman?

Find out as the road to No Mercy begins on Monday Night Raw!
