WWE Money In the Bank: The match that stole the show

Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose

The Stage Is Set

When the proceedings for the match kicked off which involves each and every participant entering the arena, it was obvious who’ll get the biggest reaction- RVD and the resident showoff, Ziggler. But what was pleasantly surprising was the reaction to Dean Ambrose. It is not surprising that he is popular but what is surprising is that the audience has so much interest on someone who has just begun his solo run in the main roster. It was made plenty clear by the audience that they are very much interested in Dean Ambrose and he clearly did not disappoint. This entire match did not disappoint. This match was the money in the ‘Money In The Bank’ pay per view. The match kicked off when Dean Ambrose wasted no time in ramming into his former brother.

The Bag of Tricks

After that collision the match began all of a sudden and took up pace with equal ease. It began to look like a transition of moments where each man got a chance to grab the briefcase. Of all the moments, the most heartwarming and equally heartbreaking was Ziggler’s quest to the top. He was tossed around all over the place throughout the match until the match neared its climax. With Rollins around, Ziggler did not come out looking like the best seller there is. With Kofi Kingston around, Ziggler had been cut out of showcasing and showoff-ing the most spectacular moves. But he still went on. The most exhilarating bit came when he was on his way climbing the ladder and then he was put in an ankle lock while he was still standing on the ladder. He still went on- taking slow and steady steps, eventually getting rid of Swagger. But that’s when Rollins entered the frame and used the stipulation of the match to his advantage and put off Ziggler with a series of chair shots and that was it. His moment was gone.

Speaking of Rollins, him winning the match was the perfect outcome to this match. He is young and new and this kind of match should always favor the new.

It should also be noted that in a match that had three former MITB contract winners, it was the performance of two stars that stood out the most and this in turn succeeded in setting up a future blockbuster feud.

The Biggest Story of the Night

Seth Rollins was not the only winner of the match.

Ambrose who is often called a lunatic fringe, a nutcase, an eccentric proved to be the secret ingredient of the recipe to a great match. Yes, in a match that had so many show-stealing matches, his character was the biggest winner. You have to be some kind of popular when a crowd of hardcore fans say ‘Let’s Go Ziggler’ and ‘We Want Ambrose’ with the same excitement.

Rollins too the biggest bumps of the night. Thanks to Kingston, he bumped across a ladder and then he received the Suplex from the top of the world by Ambrose and when both of them fell into the depths, it was Ambrose who sold it better than Rollins, imagine that. Okay, don’t imagine, watch that.

The biggest winner of the match is the rivalry between Ambrose and Rollins. The chemistry is outstanding. When Ambrose kept thrashing Rollins with a chair, it was entirely poetic. They look set to feud for a long time and with a strong story that already follows them, the future should be awesome. They might just fight with the contract on the line. But who knows?

I wish Ambrose comes out as the winner as Rollins has already won the briefcase. Or has he?
