What’s the story?

The SmackDown Tag Teams involved in the upcoming Triple Threat title match at Clash Of Champions; have taken to social media so as to react to the surprising announcement.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE recently announced multiple matches for its upcoming SmackDown brand-exclusive PPV Clash Of Champions.

Nevertheless, the WWE’s announcement of a Triple Threat Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, seem to have taken the professional wrestling community by surprise; with several fans and pundits engaging in considerable banter regarding the same.

The heart of the matter

In response to the odds being stacked against them, reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos stated,

“So we just heard via the grapevine that The Usos got a Triple Threat Tag Team Match at Clash Of Champions…Once again the odds are stacked against us.”

Besides, The Usos added that the Triple Threat matchup being announced doesn’t make a difference, and they’ll simply welcome The New Day and Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin into the Uso Penitentiary.

Furthermore, The New Day reiterated their excitement; alluding that they look forward to becoming the SmackDown Tag Team Champions once again. On the other hand, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin didn’t seem too amused by the match being turned into a Triple Threat; which initially only featured them against The Usos.

What’s next?

The WWE’s Clash Of Champions pay-per-view goes down at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on December 17th.

The card will feature The Usos defending their SmackDown Tag Team titles against The New Day and American Alpha 2.0 (Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin) in a Triple Threat Match.
