Several wrestlers from the main roster are inactive due to injuries, AJ Styles could be another addition in that list. The #1 contender for Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Payback, Styles was in action with a former World Champion and League of Nation member Alberto Del Rio at recent SmackDown tapings.
According to many fans in attendance, Del Rio botched a move and AJ landed on his head, possibly suffering a neck injury.
Dailywrestlingnews.com reports that a correspondent in attendance noted that the landing seemed pretty bad from where he was sitting. AJ won the match with a roll-up but was holding his neck on his way back to the locker room. Although many fans felt that AJ was just selling his bad landing and wasn’t injured at all.
As the news of AJ’s possible injury started to spread, a fan on Twitter asked him about his health and whether he would be fit enough for this week’s WWE live event in Dubai. AJ Styles replied :
