What’s the story?
Just a couple hours after WWE SmackDown Live went off the air, WWE officially announced a WrestleMania 34 WWE Championship rematch between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will take place.
In case you didn’t know...
Championship match or not, AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura had been in the books for WrestleMania 34 as early as June 2017.
Styles and Nakamura had an all time classic at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 10 in Tokyo, Japan, at the Tokyo Dome in January 2016, a few weeks before Styles debuted at the Royal Rumble. WWE had been keen on having the match at some point in the company, since late 2016.
The heart of the matter
Not long after SmackDown Live went off the air, WWE took to their official website, as well as social media, to announce that AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will have their WrestleMania rematch for the WWE Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia next Friday.
The huge match will be joining an already stacked card which also features a Steel Cage match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship, Triple H vs John Cena, Rusev vs The Undertaker in a Casket Match, a Fatal Four Way Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, and of course, the 50 man Royal Rumble match, along with four other Championship matches.
What’s next?
The Greatest Royal Rumble event takes place next Friday, April 27th, at the King Abdullah Sports City's King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Originally supposed to be an untelevised event, it will now be streamed live on the WWE Network.

The Greatest Royal Rumble event is quickly shaping up to be possibly the biggest WWE event in history, so I can't imagne a better time for the AJ Styes vs Shinsuke Nakamura WWE Championship rematch.
The match between them at WrestleMania was good, but still surprisingly a let down. I hope this time they can have that epic encounter we thought the first one would be.
