What’s the story?

In an interview with Corey Graves on WWE’s Straight To The Source, Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks opened up on a myriad of topics.

Bliss and Banks asserted that they were honored to be the first women to compete in a pro-wrestling match in Abu Dhabi. Besides, the Goddess of WWE and the Boss also emphasized that they would love to have an all-women’s match headline Wrestlemania as well as feature in a Women’s Royal Rumble.

In case you didn’t know…

Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks made history earlier this month by becoming the first female WWE Superstars to have competed in a match not only in Abu Dhabi but in all of the UAE (United Arab Emirates).

In reference to the WWE’s female Superstars making history, the vast majority of professional wrestling experts have also noted that WWE may potentially organize a Women’s Royal Rumble match very soon.

The heart of the matter

Sasha Banks revealed that she was in tears before making history alongside Alexa Bliss in Abu Dhabi before adding that it was an honor for her to be a role model for young girls at the event. Meanwhile, Bliss elucidated that making history in Abu Dhabi was much more than just a match and concurred that it was a cultural achievement.

Furthermore, Bliss and Banks also noted that an All-Women Royal Rumble would be make for riveting viewing as there are plenty of female wrestlers today for the idea to come to fruition.

What’s next?

Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks and the rest of the RAW Women’s Division are presently engaged in a feud with Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville).

As for a potential Women’s Royal Rumble, the belief is that although ideas for the same were pitched, the WWE doesn’t have any immediate plans for the match-up at the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV next month.

Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks deserve wholehearted applause for making history in the UAE. Bliss is spot-on regarding the fact that every female wrestler is important in Women’s Wrestling becoming the global phenomenon it is. Besides, it would be great to see a Women’s Royal Rumble in the near future.
