What’s the story?

WWE announced via Twitter that Raw Superstars Alicia Fox and Goldust will team up for the Mixed Match Challenge.

In case you didn’t know...

The Mixed Match Challenge is a Facebook-exclusive show which will feature eight teams from Raw and SmackDown competing to win $100,000 on behalf of their respective charities.

The heart of the matter

The following is the press release WWE issued regarding the new team of The Bonafide Diva and The Bizarre One:

To say that The Bizarre One and Miss Fox each bring something unique to the table is a gross understatement. He’s flamboyant and larger-than-life, while she’s prone to completely unpredictable behavior that stems from her raw intensity. Yet, their potential advantage in the unprecedented competition ahead of them goes way beyond their ability to throw their opponents off their game.
Both Superstars are seasoned squared-circle competitors who have seen it all, and they’ll be ready for anything that comes their way. Goldust is a three-time Intercontinental Champion and a three-time Tag Team Champion. Fox is a former Divas Champion. Translation: This is a pair who knows how to win.

Fox and Goldust being announced for the Mixed Match Challenge marks the eighth and final pairing for the upcoming Facebook show. The following are the full list of teams that WWE announced for the show:

Alexa Bliss & Braun Strowman
Alicia Fox & Goldust
Apollo Crews & Nia Jax
Asuka & The Miz
Bobby Roode & Charlotte Flair
Finn Bálor & Sasha Banks
Jimmy Uso & Naomi
Rusev & Lana

What’s next?

The Mixed Match Challenge will air after SmackDown Live and start on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 10 Eastern Time/ 7 p.m. Pacific Time.
