The Superstar Shakeup of 2018 saw members from the NXT roster step away from from the developmental brand and on to the main WWE roster.

Andrade 'Cien' Almas was called up to SmackDown Live but has not yet appeared. Instead, a promo of him aired, where he stated that he would come to SmackDown Live in the future.

During this week's episode of SmackDown Live, it was announced that Almas would finally appear on next week's episode.

In case you didn't know...

During the Superstar Shakeup, several NXT superstars were called up to the main roster.

On Raw, The Authors of Pain, No Way Jose, Ember Moon and Drew McIntyre all made their way up to the main roster.

SmackDown Live got the IIconics, as well as the SAnitY and Andrade 'Cien' Almas alongside Zelina Vega. Almas and SAnitY are yet to appear on TV, although promos were aired when their call-ups were announced. SAnitY's Nikki Cross was not called up along with the rest of the faction.

Almas lost his NXT Title to Aleister Black at Takeover: New Orleans. This loss brought about the end of his 140-day reign with the Championship.

The heart of the matter

Next week's episode of SmackDown Live is set to take place in the O2 Arena in London. Almas will make his debut for the WWE main roster for the first time across the pond, during the European Tour.

Almas spent three years down in NXT after he signed a Developmental contract with WWE. His approach in the ring changed when he aligned with Zelina Vega as his manager in early 2017.

Vega took to Twitter to react to the announcement, saying that they had opted for London as they liked to do things big. She went on to say they were going to change the game forever.

With the Money in the Bank Qualifier matches taking place, Almas may be part of a qualifying match directly upon his debut.
