WWE News: Another employee shown the door by the WWE

Alex Reyes signed a WWE contract last year

We already noted before that WWE is doing their Spring Cleaning at this time. Spring Cleaning is the term the WWE Universe uses every time the WWE decide to clean their roster by removing excess talent.

This year, almost ten superstars were released from their WWE contracts since May 7th . Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Alex Riley, Cameron, Zeb Colter, Santino Marella, Hornswoggle, El Torito – all of them are no longer associated with WWE.

WWE also released Rich Brennan and Kyle Edwards from its broadcast crew. Wrestlinginc.com now confirms that, another member of the NXT broadcast team, Alex Reyes, has been released by the WWE.

Alex Reyes, whose real name is Alex Del Barrio, was offered a WWE contract last October. Since his college days in 2004, Del Barrio has been trying to break into the company as an announcer.

He has appeared as a backstage announcer on NXT programmings, as host at non-televised NXT live events, and also assisted development talents with their promos at the WWE Performance Center. Reports suggest that Reyes was too much of a fan to be kept on as an employee.

Before joining the WWE, Del Barrio worked as announcer for Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion in Texas and the Harlem Globetrotters. After his release, his changed his display name back to Alex Del Barrio on Twitter and tweeted the following :
