Samoa Joe is a two-time NXT Champion and will be looking to better that record in Melbourne

There has been a lot of anticipation about Samoa Joe’s debut to the main roster. Many in the WWE Universe believe that it is time for Joe to make his debut in the big league. Rjust around now the corner, reports have emerged from Allwrestlingnews.com, that Joe could make his debut on the main roster at Royal Rumble, if not before the PPV.

WWE is going into the Royal Rumble all guns blazing, with names like Goldberg and Brock Lesnar, already confirmed for the event.

The report also adds that seeing Joe before the PPV is also a major possibility. On the other hand, Samoa Joe’s debut at the event will further strengthen WWE’s hopes of making the event a grand success. However, it is not known as to which brand Joe will be drafted.

Joe was the reigning NXT champion after NXT TakeOver: Toronto, until last weekend when the challenger, Shinsuke Nakamura, reclaimed the title in front of his home crowd in Osaka, Japan. This win has given fuel to rumours that Joe might be debuting in the main roster soon.

It is speculated that once Joe ends his feud with Nakamura, he will be on his way to the main roster. Joe was absent last week, for the NXT tapings that covered the action for the next three weeks. There were a series of matches during these tapings to determine the next number one contender for the NXT Championship.

After Joe’s recent loss at Osaka, William Regal informed the WWE Universe that Nakamura would face Joe in a rematch for the title, inside a steel cage at the NXT live event in Melbourne, Australia. Samoa Joe also featured in a video posted by WWE, discussing the odds stacked against him.

Joe pointed out that he would disappoint William Regal and he would yet again reign supreme, as the three-time NXT champion, at the expense of Shinsuke Nakamura.
