What’s the story?

As seen on Paddy Power, Roman Reigns is the new favourite with the bookmakers to walk out of Philadelphia as the 2018 Royal Rumble match winner.

In case you didn’t know

The Irish bookmaker is one of the most reliable sources when it comes to the validity of these betting odds, which is a statement that rings true for quite a few European companies. Over the last few weeks, since the odds were first released, John Cena has been the clear favourite to win the men’s Rumble match – but now, things have changed.

Heart of the matter

As you can see in the link, Roman Reigns is now leading the way with odds of 9/4. Shinsuke Nakamura isn’t far behind him as the second favourite at 5/2, meanwhile, Cena is now out to 7/2 down in third. Below, you will find the full top 10 list from the site.

What’s next?

With the Rumble pay per view being just a few weeks away, all we can do is sit and wait to see if these odds shift once again as we get closer and closer to everyone’s favourite night of the year in Philadelphia.

Author’s take

Roman Reigns winning the Rumble seems like a fairly safe bet and while many fans won’t like it, WWE proved back in 2015 that they don’t mind upsetting people every once in a while so long as the story ends on a positive note.
