WWE News: Braun Strowman reveals the WWE legend who turned WWE on to him

Bryan Strowman is a big fan of Mark Henry

The Black Sheep of WWE Braun Strowman made his WWE debut last year in a brutal fashion by dispatching Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Since then he was seen as a destructive force, not only in the Wyatt family but also in the WWE. He enhanced his reputation in the 2016 Royal Rumble match, where he eliminated five superstars before being thrown out by the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar.

The 2016 WWE draft saw Strowman been displaced from the Wyatt family and drafted to Raw, as Bray Wyatt and Eric Rowan were drafted to SmackDown. The Strongman recently appeared on the Steve Austin Show and talked about how he signed with the company, and who turned WWE on to him.

As far as the recruitment is concerned, Strowman revealed that Mark Henry is the person who put him on the WWE radar. “Mark Henry turned the company onto me. Mark and I got to be good friends after I did the Arnold [Strongman Classic], actually my third ever strongman [competition], I did the Arnold in 2010 and I met Mark for the first time and I've been a big fan of his through his [professional] wrestling career, his strength feats, and stuff like that,” Braun said.

Arnold Amateur Strongman is a famous event created by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, and Mark Henry won the competition back in 2002.

Strowman continued by saying, "Mark put Canyon Ceman on to me and said 'Hey, you need to watch this guy. He's not like all the other strongman,' because I took pleasure in going out there, hamming it up and getting the crowd involved whereas a lot of guys went out there like 'I put this up and I put this down.”

"The louder the people got, the stronger I got , The adrenaline gets going then I'm having fun, they're having fun...I think that's one of the big things that drew the WWE to me is seeing the fact that I enjoy going out and entertaining and I am, basically, an attention whore," Strowman concluded.

When Strowman enters the ring, it’s all about strength, power, and domination. Unlike Bray Wyatt, Strowman is not a boss on the mic, however, the latest podcast appearance showed that he was very charismatic and has the chops for the business when the time arrives.
