What’s the story?

Nearly a year after Bray Wyatt and Samantha Rotunda’s separation made headlines, the former WWE Champion and SmackDown Live Superstar has responded via Twitter, to accusations of partial child support payments and where he spends his money.

In case you didn’t know...

Samantha and Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, met in college and tied the knot back when Wyatt was wrestling in NXT. The couple would go their separate ways in March 2017, following the news of Wyatt and WWE announcer Jojo Offerman having an affair.

The heart of the matter

Wyatt agreed to pay his wife nearly $15,000 per month in maintenance and child support but has allegedly only been paying $6,000 per month since their split in June last year, according to a report originally published in Daily Mail.

That amount was similar to the amount demanded by Samantha who asked for $15,000 per month in spousal and child support back in September and was granted a temporary monthly income of $14,735 and a one-time payoff of $50,000 in legal fees.

Both parties were forced into mediation and recently appeared in court, but Daily Mail reported that the two could not come to an agreement and are in a stalemate regarding Wyatt’s “non-necessary” spending which amounted to $11,000 in expenses from Dec. 20 to Jan. 4, 2018.

Samantha claimed that the $11,000 was spent at bars, strip clubs and other items, assumed to be for Jojo, such as jewelry and a bathing suit.

Wyatt responded to these criticisms earlier today, though refusing to name who he was addressing, by saying all the accusations were false. Below is the tweet by Wyatt:

What’s next?

More info about their split may come out, as the divorce proceedings and mediation continue.

Wyatt’s next big appearance on WWE programming will take place this Sunday when he takes on Woken Matt Hardy in singles competition at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
