What's the story?
Charlotte was on Busted Open Radio to promote her new book with Ric Flair, "Second Nature". During the interview, the former Raw Women's Champion revealed that she was told her father wouldn't make it when she reached the hospital.
In case you didn't know...
Ric Flair was critically ill and hospitalised for a surgery where he had to have a part of his bowel removed. For a long time, it looked like he might not recover. However, he, fortunately, managed to make a recovery.
The heart of the matter
During her interview, Charlotte talked about her experiences when her dad was sick. She revealed that when she went to the hospital, the doctors said that her dad might not make it.
"We're not sure your dad is going to make it. We need you guys to say goodbye."
She talked about how hard it was for her to process the fact that her father might not be there, as he was the one she always went to for any sort of advice. She also revealed that it was one and a half weeks after the surgery that the doctors finally told her that he was going to be okay.
What's next?
Charlotte has returned to Smackdown and she is now the Number one contender for the WWE Women's Title. This means there will soon be a Hart vs Flair match in the women's division when Charlotte faces the WWE Smackdown Women's Champion, Natalya.
