What's the story?
The Chris Jericho tease train has left the station on the evening of the Royal Rumble. Over the course of the past 20 hours, Jericho has posted on Instagram stating he's in Paris for a Fozzy show tonight, unless he's actually in Philadelphia (the site of tonight's Royal Rumble pay per view).
In case you didn't know...
Chris Jericho became the sixth person in WWE history to last over an hour in the Royal Rumble match when he accomplished that feat just last year at the 2017 Royal Rumble. Jericho was the second entrant into the match and lasted for 60 minutes and 13 seconds before Roman Reigns tossed him out.
The heart of the matter...
Roughly 20 hours ago, Jericho posted on Instagram that he was on a plane heading to Paris as Fozzy is performing at the Olympia on Sunday night. Take a look at that post below:
Then a few hours later Jericho posted (supposedly from the Olympia in Paris, France. He stated he was jet-lagged but ready to rock Paris tonight with Fozzy and Steel Panther. Take a look at that post below:
Considering that you can buy tickets and VIP packages from Fozzy's website, it is definitely not a swerve by Jericho that he's hiding out somewhere in Philadelphia. It is just Jericho have a little fun on social media, and there definitely is nothing wrong with that.
What's next?
The Royal Rumble pay per view is just hours away (and the Kickoff Show is just minutes away). There will be three matches on the Kickoff Show and then six matches on the main card with both major and tag titles on the line to go along with the men's and first-ever women's Royal Rumble Match.

I love it! Jericho is great with all of these teases on Instagram. I wish he was going to be an entrant in the Royal Rumble Match, but Fozzy is a major part of his life too, and their latest album is doing tremendously well.
Though the WWE Universe will not have the Gift of Jericho at the Royal Rumble tonight, it will still be a special night full of surprises and moments we'll talk about for years to come.
