Drink it in maaaaan!

What's the story?

Chris Jericho has been with WWE for a long time so he's been able to establish quite an interesting relationship with Vince McMahon. He recently spoke to Monster.com about his current friendship with his boss.

In case you didn't know...

Vince McMahon is a unique individual. He's the man pulling the strings behind the world's biggest pro wrestling company.

Logically, this might mean he intimidates some people. But as Y2J has been working with Vince McMahon for such a long time, they've gotten to know each other a little bit better.

The heart of the matter

Chris Jericho discussed many subjects, right from reinventing himself to what it takes to make it in the business for as long as he has.

He also broke down his current relationship with The Chairman Of The Board and how at this point it's very friendly. Jericho also said if you're going to be friends with someone like Mr.McMahon it takes some time getting to that point.

Y2K explained how he considers himself friends with Vince at this stage of his career. He said the 72-year-old is so complex because he's on the top of his game. You can't rush the trust needed to form a successful relationship like the one he has with McMahon either.

"It helps to put yourself in the shoes of someone who’s been a boss for a long time. How many people have worked for him in the past, and how many have not worked out? He, or she, is looking for someone who will stand the test of time. So try to be that person.”

What's next?

Chris Jericho has accomplished a lot in professional wrestling and it doesn't look like he's done yet. Even though he's spending a considerable amount of time on the road with his band Fozzy and arranging cruise ship tours, he'll probably make it back to WWE eventually.

Author's take

Chris Jericho has said before how when he retires he doesn't want a big spectacle. He said he wants to go quietly into the night without a big retirement match.

However, this might not happen because whenever Jericho decides to finally hang up his boots, there's no way it will be a "small deal."

But it's nice to know as long as he still wants to wrestle, all Y2J needs do to is call up his buddy Vince McMahon and see if they can use him.
