What’s the story?

Earlier this week, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho was interviewed by The Sportsman.

During the interview, Jericho was asked whom he would like to face in a dream match and who is dream opponent is, to which Jericho humorously responded by saying that he’d like to face the Loch Ness Monster (not the former WCW superstar).

In case you didn’t know…

Chris Jericho is a former WWE World Champion and is one of the few Superstars who have the privilege of calling themselves a “Grand Slam Champion” in the WWE.

Jericho first signed with WWE in 1999 and has been wrestling for the company for well 15 years. He is a former record nine-time Intercontinental Champion and is also a six-time WWE World Champion.

Throughout his WWE career, Chris Jericho has performed in many dream matches, such as against the likes of Shawn Michaels, The Rock, and Triple H.

The heart of the matter

During his interview with The Sportsman, Jericho revealed that he once had a dream where WWE Chairman Vince McMahon booked Jericho in a match against the Loch Ness Monster and the finish to the match was Jericho going inside the monster’s mouth.

“The Ayatollah of Rock n’ Rolla” then humorously added that he wasn’t sure if the monster was going to eat him and was scared to go inside Loch Ness’ mouth. But, however, he claims that Vince McMahon made him do it and till date facing the Loch Ness in a match is Jericho’s dream.

What’s next?

Chris Jericho is currently busy focusing on his life outside of WWE, as he continues to perform with his rock band Fozzy.

But, WWE fans have got a glimpse of Y2J back in July 2017, so it is safe to assume that Jericho is not done with the WWE after all and might even return to the company during Wrestlemania 34 season.

Author’s Take

Personally, I find Jericho’s story really funny and as usual, this is Chris Jericho trolling everyone.
