WWE News:  Chris Jericho reveals what his "geeky" interest is

Every
Everyone is a nerd in one way or another, and for Chris Jericho, he geeks out on rock and roll...

What's the story?

Wrestling Inc. is reporting on a recent interview that Chris Jericho had with Pop Mythology to promote the second season of his web series But I'm Chris Jericho! Within the interview, Jericho spoke about people having geeky interests, and he has one of his own.

In case you didn't know...

Chris Jericho's band Fozzy released their seventh studio album in October called Judas. The title track of the album reached as high as number five on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts making it the most successful charting song in the band's history.

The heart of the matter...

Jericho mentioned that there are geeks all over the earth. They spend millions of dollars on their obsessions like KISS, Star Wars, and wrestling for example. Being a geek can go beyond just physical possessions and collectibles, and when comes to discussing what Jericho is a geek about, it's just music in general.

The frontman of Fozzy says he's a complete rock and roll nerd. One may ask "how can someone a rock and roll nerd," but it is possible, and Jericho gave a good example:

"I'm a Rock and Roll nerd. I can tell you who's the second guitarist in the first IRON MAIDEN album and that sort of thing. So, to me, that's my nerdy side: my love of music and talking on hours on end about stuff that nobody should know!"

For those who are wondering, the first Iron Maiden album was released in 1980, and the second guitarist on that album was Dave Murray.

What's next?

Next up for Chris Jericho is a return to New Japan Pro Wrestling after nearly 20 years. Wrestle Kingdom 12 takes place on January 4th from the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

Jericho will challenge the IWGP United States Champion Kenny Omega for the title, and the build-up to this match has been nothing short of outstanding.

Author's take...

If you have ever seen Chris Jericho on That Metal Show when it was on VH1 Classic, or just follow him on social media, being a rock geek is not surprising at all. Knowing the second guitarist on the first Iron Maiden album from 37 years ago is most impressive.

It's great to see his rock career is reaching new heights nearly 20 years after he founded the band.
