WWE News: Curt Hawkins suffers his "coolest loss" yet

Hawkins took a loss tonight, but he's not complaining

What’s the story?

Curt Hawkins is currently on one of the most unique streaks ever in WWE - he's 0-179 when it comes to wins and losses.

But Hawkins took to social media after his most recent loss, to shine some light on why he was more than happy to take the pin this time.

In case you didn't know…

Curt Hawkins has been on a lengthy losing streak but he got some words of wisdom from Brooklyn Brawler at RAW 25 in a pretty inspirational interaction.

Brawler recalled his own career and compared it with that of Hawkins - telling the current WWE star about his victory over Triple H and how he won a battle royal at the Madison Square Garden.

The heart of the matter

While Brawler told Hawkins his luck will turn, it hasn't turned yet - but Hawkins spoke of his most recent loss as his "coolest yet" on social media.

Hawkins, in his post, explained how he made some history by facing Goldust in the very same building as Rowdy Roddy Piper did, in one of WWE's classic segments from 1996, a Hollywood Back Lot Brawl.

What’s next?

Hawkins has not appeared on Raw for a few weeks, but the losing streak continues on both Main Event and Live events. Hawkins is now 0-179 and counting.

When will Hawkins' streak end? Well, WWE loves ending streaks at WrestleMania.

Author’s take

I personally love Curt Hawkins and I really can't wait until he beats the streak. But the longer it goes, the better. He really does seem like one of the good guys and someone who loves the business. WWE is also invested too as, while he isn't winning, he has his own "streak" merchandise and does get the odd bit of TV time to cut a promo - which he usually knocks out of the park.

This is one of the most bizarre storylines in WWE right now, but sometimes those are the best ones. I'm all in and rooting for Hawkins every time he appears on TV!
