WWE News: Daniel Bryan competes in his first Olympic lifting competition

Daniel Bryan’s warrior spirit will not let him fade away into obscurity

Daniel Bryan enthralled the WWE universe with his “Never Give Up” attitude on the road to WrestleMania 30. His proverbial rise to the top left fans cheering for him so much that the arena roof exploded with noise as he stood with the championship raised over his head at WrestleMania 30. But the fairytale soon came to an end as he suffered one concussion too many in the following months.

Daniel Bryan’s history of concussions and WWE’s current stand against concussions left him in an unenviable position earlier this year. Daniel made the tough but right decision of hanging up the boots as the medical personals of WWE refused to clear him. His retirement speech was one of the most heart-felt monologues WWE has had in the recent times.

But, Daniel’s warrior heart is not going to fade away into obscurity. With a new found determination, Daniel Bryan has found another avenue to channel his warrior spirit and rise from ashes once again. Wrestlinginc reports that recently he had been training rigorously to weight-lift at Tiber Gym in his hometown. His rigorous training paid off this weekend as he attended his first Olympic lifting competition and won a sword in his home state, Washington.

Bryan tweeted the following videos and pictures on Twitter from Saturday.
