What’s the story?
WWE SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan recently spoke with The National during an appearance in Abu Dhabi. Bryan spoke on a number of topics, including possibly coming out of retirement at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
In case you didn’t know...
Daniel Bryan is dying to come out of retirement and wrestle again. Allegedly Bryan recently rejected a pretty big WWE contract extension, in hopes of wrestling outside of WWE later this year. Bryan's WWE contract is set to expire in September. Bryan has said that doctor's outside of WWE have cleared him to wrestle and it is only WWE's doctors, who haven't.
The Bullet Club have been teasing having Bryan wrestle at their "All-in" event at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on September 1st of this year.
The heart of the matter
While speaking with The National, Daniel Bryan spoke on a number of topics, including possibly coming out of retirement at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, where the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn match would become a tag team match pitting Owens and Zayn vs. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan. Daniel commented on this saying:
"I don't know and I don't think they know. I think it all depends on whether or not I get cleared. As of this moment, as of today, I am not cleared by WWE. I have done everything in my power. Everything they have asked me to and I have gone above and beyond as far as 'Okay, what doctors do you need me to see. Send me to any doctor you want, any doctor that you want and lets get their feedback on what is going on with me.' So far every doctor has cleared me that they have sent me too and so there is a chance. I used to think that the percentage of the WWE ever clearing me was low. I think with the stuff that I have done it has gone a little higher but I don't know how much higher. With how everything is there is one day to go if I don't get cleared [storyline wise] and then there is another way to go if I am cleared. I am hoping to be cleared but I don't know which way it goes."

WWE WrestleMania 34 takes place in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on the 8 of April.

Daniel Bryan has apparently heard from more than one doctor that he could still wrestle today. I really hope WWE takes a chance on him doing so or else they are in serious danger of losing him come September.
A tag team match with Bryan and Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn would be a great idea as it would see Bryan wrestling again, and as it would be a tag team match, he would be pretty safe as he wouldn't have to take many bumps.
