WWE superstars seem to be making the most of their ongoing tour to the UK by enjoying some great activities outside the ring. On Saturday, WWE Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler and Smackdown Women’s champion Becky Lynch visited the Etihad Stadium in Manchester to see the home side, Manchester City, in action against Middlesborough.

‘The Showoff’ took to his Twitter account to post an image of himself and the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ standing outside the stadium before the match. The tweet from Ziggler read, “great man city match with fellow announcer, champion & rock & roll hand gesture-er @BeckyLynchWWE.“

The popular Premier League club’s media channel, CityTV, also provided the two Smackdown Live superstars with the opportunity to do some commentary for the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Before the kickoff, Manchester City’s official Twitter page acknowledged Ziggler and Lynch’s presence with them as special guest commentators.

Post their outing at the Etihad Stadium, the duo hit the ring later in the evening for a WWE live event in Manchester. While Dolph Ziggler took on his arch-rival and former Intercontinental champion, the Miz, Becky Lynch faced off against the No. 1 contender for her Smackdown women's title, Alexa Bliss.

In a hard fought match, the former WWE World Heavyweight champion super kicked himself to victory over the ‘Awesome One’. Lynch, meanwhile, also managed to defend her title against Bliss by making the later tap out to her signature submission hold.

All in all, it proved to be a day to cherish for the two crowd favorites from the Smackdown Live roster, both in the ring and outside it, too.
