WWE News: Donovan Dijak makes NXT debut

Dijaj Is NXT!

What's the story?

NXT is becoming home for some of the best Ring Of Honor talent. While ROH still has plenty of amazing stars and they keep signing amazing new ones like Cody Rhodes, ROH is one star short in Donovan Dijak. He left Ring Of Honor in April this year and Saturday night's NXT house show in Largo Florida saw the in-ring debut of Donovan Dijak.

In case you didn't know

Donovan Dijak is a six feet professional wrestler. He's two hundred seventy pounds and means business. Since winning the 2015 Top Prospect Tournament in ROH, Dijak has been on the rise gaining accolades along the way.

Afer making his debut on the indie pro wrestling circuit in 2014 the former college football All-American has been turning heads. It turns out WWE scouts noticed him too because they recently signed Dijak to a contract

Th heart of the matter

Just because a Superstar loses their first match in a WWE ring doesn't mean there aren't great things in store for them. Donovan Dijak squared off against Aleister Black in Largo Florida on September 23rd and was not able to topple the man formally known as Tommy End.

Even though he's been unsuccessful in pulling down a victory in WWE so far, Donovan Dijak still has an amazing future ahead of him. He looked thrilled to be performing in a WWE ring and was said to put on a great show.

Hopefully, they'll find a place for him on NXT's television show soon. He might make a fine addition to the Undisputed Era. After all, he knows Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly quite well from ROH.

What's next

As he utilizes the resources in front of him in WWE's Performance Center Donovan Dijak has all the tools for success. WWE might not be the land of the giants like they used to be but Vince McMahon still loves big men.

Author's take

It is going to be very fun to watch Donovan Dijak perform in NXT and hopefully on the main roster down the line. If the audience can latch onto his unique personality there's no stopping him. All he needs to do is be himself. Dijak is a very down to earth guy and he's incredibly likable.

It might only be a matter of time before we're talking about Donovan Dijak in regards to much higher profile matches in the WWE Universe.
