What's the story?
Elias took the mic with his trusty guitar in tow at a recent WWE live show and gave fans exactly what they weren't expecting: a Drake cover.
In case you didn't know
Elias is The Drifter but he doesn't want to walk alone as he's constantly asking who wants to "walk with Elias?" At first, crowds gave him a negative response, but at this point, it seems their mood might have shifted concerning their acceptance of Elias.
Heart of the matter
Elias is known for his musical ability at this point and he's been known to bust out in a parody every now and then. But music copyright restrictions have kept Elias from breaking out in an all-out cover song in the past. But you never know what will happen at a WWE live show because there aren't supposed to be any cameras there, at least they're not recording a worldwide broadcast.
Therefore, with The Drifter broke out in Drake's hit "Hotline Bling" it was certainly surprising for everyone in the arena. But that shock soon dissipated and gave way to a rousing sing-along.
What's next?
Elias is arguably the breakout star of 2017 in many ways. If anything, he's over performed anything he did in NXT so far. To be honest, just half of his match against John Cena on Christmas Day was probably more than he ever did in NXT.

Elias has the ability to jump to the top of the card a moment's notice due to his current spot on the roster. After all, Jinder Mahal went from losing to Mojo Rawley in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal to winning the WWE Championship in no time. At least Elias is actually wrestling main event babyfaces and doing pretty well for himself in the process.
