What’s the story?

During a recent interview with WWE.com, former Universal Champion Finn Balor was asked to reveal the names of four superstars whom he would like to have in his dream Survivor Series team.

Balor said that the four men that he wanted like to team up with were AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Triple H.

In case you didn’t know…

Finn Balor is a former NXT Champion and the first ever WWE Universal Champion. Balor is also the former leader of famous NJPW faction the Bullet Club.

Balor was associated with both Anderson and Gallows during his days in the Bullet Club. The three men— along with the Young Bucks, Bad Luck Fale, and Tama Tonga ran havoc through the New Japan Pro Wrestling roster and didn’t hesitate in assaulting anyone.

Balor, Anderson, and Gallows also have a rich history with “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles. Styles became Balor’s predecessor in the Bullet Club and took over the leadership from the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion in 2014.

During his time in the faction, he also got to work with Anderson, Gallows, Matt & Nick Jackson (The Young Bucks) and with many more world-renowned names in the world of pro wrestling.

The heart of the matter

During his interview, Balor stated that he would like to team up with Styles, Anderson, Gallows, and the current COO of the WWE, Triple H and have them in his dream Survivor Series team.

The first name on Balor’s list was current WWE Champion AJ Styles. Balor said that Styles was the man who took him to the absolute limit at this year’s TLC pay-per-view when the two of them locked horns in a dream match, where the Irishman came out on top. Balor also stated that at TLC he learned why Styles was called “The Phenomenal One”.

The former Universal Champion then said the second name on his list would be former Raw Tag Team Champion Karl Anderson, one of Balor’s best friends.

The third name to make it into Balor’s dream team was Luke Gallows, whom Balor called “the original good brother” and also praised Gallows by saying that he is one of the most underrated big man in professional wrestling.

Balor gave the final spot on the team to “The Game” Triple H and said that he was someone from whom Balor has learned a lot from during his time in NXT. The former NXT Champion ended by saying that Triple H is someone with whom he would love to team up with.

Finn Balor’s ended the interview saying the fifth man on his dream team would be non-other than he himself.

What’s next?

Finn Balor is part of the Raw Survivor Series team— which consists of Samoa Joe, Jason Jordan, Braun Strowman, and Kurt Angle. On November 19, they will do battle against Shane McMahon's troops in Houston.

Author’s take

Personally, I think Finn Balor’s team is star-studded, and I would like to see all five of these men team up in the future. The Irishman teaming up Styles, Anderson, and Gallows would also mean that we finally get a Bullet Club reunion in the WWE.
