WWE News: Finn Balor reveals his real-life relationship with Vince McMahon

What's the story?

Finn Balor is finally getting his opportunity at the top, as he will face off against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

This came about after Balor confronted Vince McMahon on RAW, and now the Irish Superstar reveals his real-life equation with the Chairman of WWE.

In case you didn't know...

Balor won a fatal four-way match on RAW, which also featured John Cena, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin after Braun Strowman was removed from his match against Lesnar at Rumble for the Universal Championship.

Balor had to also defeat Jinder Mahal to qualify for the fatal four-way match and then went on to win the match.

The heart of the matter

In the interview with TV Insider, Balor makes a surprising revelation about his relationship with Vince McMahon, revealing that the WWE Chairman is "a man of few words".

"I got to be honest, I'm not sure what my relationship is with Vince McMahon. I'm not sure if he believes in me or not. He can be a man of few words. When I show up to work, I find out what I need to do and go handle my business in the ring. That's kind of how I've handled my career for the last 18 years.

"I'm not the type of guy who is going to be knocking on doors trying to pitch storylines and work inside angles. I'm just going to show up and do my job. I will say he has shown nothing but respect to me face-to-face, but that is as far as our relationship goes," said Finn Balor to TV Insider.

Balor will face off against Brock Lesnar this Sunday, 27th January 2019, for the Universal Championship.
