What’s the story?

Finn Balor has taken to social media so as to note what one shouldn’t do in the Royal Rumble Match.

Directing a note to himself, Balor asserted that he ought to refrain from pulling out one of his usual high-flying moves in the Royal Rumble Match.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE’s Royal Rumble Match features 30 competitors who compete in an over-the-top Battle Royal—the match starting with two Superstars inside the ring and a new Superstar entering every 90 seconds.

The competitors are supposed to send opponents over the top rope in order to ‘eliminate’ them, and the last remaining Superstar emerges as the victor.

The heart of the matter

Finn Balor is one of the most athletic WWE Superstars today and routinely doles out several high-flying manoeuvres.

While Balor has utilized his high-risk, high-reward aerial moves to achieve considerable success in the WWE, in case he launches himself off the top rope to the outside of the ring and both feet touch the ground, he’d be instantly eliminated from the Royal Rumble Match.

Resultantly, Balor, who’s been known to often engage in self-deprecating humor, sent out a Tweet with the caption—“Note to self: Do NOT do this at #RoyalRumble”

What’s next?

The WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday, January 28th.

The event is one of this year’s most highly-anticipated WWE shows and one that’s said to be attracting betting persons the world over.

Author’s take

Finn Balor truly does have an awesome sense of humor. The former WWE Universal Champion isn’t shy of poking fun at himself, and that, in turn, is one of the many things that endears him to the fans.

More importantly, though, Balor would be smart and savvy enough to keep the aerial manoeuvres toned down, given the challenging and tricky nature of the Royal Rumble Match. Do you feel Balor has a chance at winning the ‘Rumble? Sound off in the comments!
