What’s the story?

Per Bet Wrestling, the odds for the Women’s Royal Rumble Match just changed significantly.

Apparently, odds-makers favor most of the challengers to reign supreme at the Royal Rumble PPV. Besides, a few surprising favorites to win the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches have also been noted.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV is one of the promotion’s ‘Big 4’ pay-per-view events—the others being Wrestlemania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.

This year’s Royal Rumble PPV features the first-ever All-Women Royal Rumble Match; in addition to several other high-stakes matchups on the card.

The heart of the matter

The challengers for the RAW Tag Team Championships Sheamus & Cesaro are favorites at -150, whereas reigning champs Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan enter as +100 underdogs.

Meanwhile, the challengers for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin are the favorites at -162, while The Usos are expected to lose and currently stand as the underdogs at +120.

Additionally, Shinsuke Nakamura is the favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, followed by Roman Reigns, and with Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan tied at 3rd place. Following Ronda Rousey’s revelation that she’ll be in Colombia for shooting ‘Mile 22’, Asuka is now the favorite to win the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

Furthermore, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is likely to walk away with the title intact, whereas AJ Styles is also expected to retain his WWE Championship. One ought to note that Lesnar and Styles may not necessarily win their respective matches, as the challengers are in fact favorites to win the matches; with Lesnar and Styles retaining the titles likely owing to a technicality.

What’s next?

The WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday, January 28th. The event traditionally attracts betting persons from all over the world, given the significance of the show in the WWE and pro-wrestling.
