WWE News: Finn Balor sends a stern message to Seth Rollins

The Demo
The Demon King made his intentions clear

What's the story?

In an interview after Raw this past week, Finn Balor sent a clear message to The Architect. The first ever WWE Universal Champion warned Rollins that he would have to go through him first, in order to get a shot at The Miz's Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 34.

In case you didn’t know…

This past week on Raw, The Miz came out to the ring and sounded off about how Kurt Angle still did not have an angle for him heading into WrestleMania. He ranted about how he has made the Intercontinental title more relevant than the Universal Championship and went to say that he was ready to take on any challenge.

Seth Rollins answered the challenge and went on to defeat The Miz in a singles bout. Right after the match ended, Finn Balor came out to challenge The Miz. But the Miztourage took out Balor, with the referee calling for the bell.

After The Balor Club came out to even things out, Kurt Angle appeared on the titantron and announced that the match would restart. Balor emerged victorious in the bout.

The heart of the matter

In a backstage interview with Renee Young after his match, Rollins made his intentions clear, saying that he wanted to fight The Miz at WrestleMania for the Intercontinental Championship and that he had proved his worth in the Gauntlet match the previous week.

Not to be left far behind, The Demon King also appeared in an interview after Raw and sent a warning to the former member of the Shield:

The leader of the Balor club reminded Seth that he was not the only one who beat The Miz. He added that his intention was to go to WrestleMania as well, to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship and that if Seth wanted a shot, he would have to go through him first.

What's next?

Recent rumours speculated that The Miz was set to take on Braun Strowman at WrestleMania, but this week's Raw took saw a surprising turn of events in the Intercontinental Title picture. It now looks like Seth Rollins and Finn Balor are in the picture as well.

Author's take

Rollins and Balor are two of the most gifted in-ring performers of this generation. The Intercontinental Title scene now appears far more interesting with these two involved. A triple threat match at WrestleMania with The Miz has the potential to steal the show.
