The 2018 Royal Rumble is less than six weeks away, but it seems that WWE has started to announce participants early as the first man declared that he was entering The Royal Rumble match and guaranteed that he was going to win it this week on Raw.

Elias was out ahead of the women's six-person tag match and was attempting to get some kind of reaction from a crowd that had mostly been quiet throughout the night, with little reaction for Hideo Itami's debut and The Revival's return.

Elias was able to get his announcement out before Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Bayley interrupted him, which means that he is the first man to declare that he will be part of the career-changing match.

The winner of The Royal Rumble gets a first class ticket to the main event of WrestleMania 34, which means that every superstar in WWE will be trying to ensure they are part of the match.

Next year's Royal Rumble is already shaping up since Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced earlier in the night that Brock Lesnar will defend his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman and Kane in a triple threat match as part of the show and now it seems that WWE has also begun revealing the participants more than a month before the event as well, which means that the next month could well be an interesting one.
