What’s the story?

Former WWE Women’s Wrestler Kaitlyn will be returning to professional wrestling for the first time in four years.

In case you didn’t know...Kaitlyn signed with WWE in 2010 through Florida Championship Wrestling. She remained with the company until 2014 when she said retired from WWE.

The Heart of the Matter

News broke back earlier this month that Kaitlyn was returning to professional wrestling in 2018 and would be performing for Coastal Championship Wrestling in the main event of their show, Breaking Chains.

Kaitlyn took to Instagram to discuss her in-ring return and said that she found her love for professional wrestling and is the primary reason for her in-ring return.

“I never really intended on wrestling again. I just starting training again because it’s been extremely therapeutic and has ignited my passion again. I want to thank Pablo for welcoming me to his family. It’s been almost four years since I stepped into the ring. This year has been super pivotal for me. I’ve discovered a lot of things about myself and spent so much time deciding who and what I want to be. I’m a lot of things. I’m an entrepreneur, a pro wrestler, a mess, and an unstoppable freight train”

Kaitlyn joined the main roster in 2012 and would win her first and only title in WWE was the Diva’s Championship which she won by defeating Eve Torres on the 20th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw.

She held the title for 153 days before losing the title to former WWE Women’s wrestler AJ Lee in 2013 at the Payback pay-per-view.

What’s Next?

The Coastal Championship Wrestling show, Breaking Chains, will emanate from the Coral Springs Charter School in Coral Springs, Florida on February 10, 2018.

Author’s Take

It’s great to hear that Kaitlyn is coming back to professional wrestling. Maybe she could make an appearance in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble if she has time.
