WWE News: Former WWE Superstar back in jail

What’s the story?

According to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet, former WWE Superstar and current Independent Wrestling star, Teddy Hart, has been sent to jail once again, which is related to his arrest on New Year’s Day in 2016.

The Hart family member was taken into custody earlier this month on 5th November ahead of his next court hearing, which has now been delayed for about 8 months.

In case you didn’t know…

Teddy Hart is a member of the prestigious Hart family and is the cousin of current Smackdown Live Women’s Champion, Natalya Neidhart, and current IWGP Tag Team Champion, Davey Boy Smith Jr.

Hart is a former WWE Superstar and has worked with the company from 1998-2002 and is also the youngest wrestler to sign a contract with the WWF.

Hart has mostly worked for Independent promotions throughout his career, wrestling in promotions like Jersey All Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Alliance, NWA, Stampede Wrestling and much more. The former JAPW Heavyweight Champion has also worked in Ring of Honor, Triple A in Mexico, and even had a brief run with TNA.

The heart of the matter

Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed the news that Teddy Hart is now back behind bars, due to a previous arrest made on New Year’s Day.

In October, Hart spoke about his arrest and stated that he will be unable to take anymore Indy bookings for the rest of the year. Following his arrest, Teddy stated that he was ready to face the consequences and will take the responsibility of making things right.

It has also been reported that Hart was initially arrested on numerous charges, including a hazardous traffic violation, attempting to evade a lawful arrest and allegedly operating on a vehicle without the permission of its rightful owner.

What’s next?

Teddy Hart was taken into custody last week, but since then has posted a message on social media which stated that he is currently waiting on his hearing from the 2016 case.

Hart stated that he has a great lawyer and a lot of other good people in his corner, who are supporting him. He also added that no matter what, he is ready to keep his head up and face the consequences.
